Evergreene Homes is proud to announce our participation in the construction and development of a second Warrior Retreat Home at Bull Run for the Serve Our Willing Warriors Organization.
Serve Our Willing Warriors (SOWW) is a 501(c)(3) organization whose “primary goals is to reinforce the mental, emotional, and spiritual well being of everyone affected to strengthen them in their journey.”
After a groundbreaking ceremony in December of 2017, the new retreat is scheduled to be completed this summer. It provides “recovering warriors, their families and caregivers with a cost-free respite opportunity away from the environment of their medical center.” Various amenities include a gourmet kitchen, bedroom suites, elevator and chair lifts, game rooms, gardens, basketball court, therapy rooms, library, access to walking trails and a children’s pay room and playground. Onsite and off-site activities include a visiting chef program, family portrait sessions, canine therapy, massage therapy, helicopter and control tower tours, fly fishing lessons, theater and performing arts, sporting events, and visits to museums.
With the expansion, two families a week instead of just one will be able to reconnect, relax and rejuvenate.
