Northern Virginia homebuilder, Evergreene Homes, is introducing for the first time, new Single Family home designs that are setting an energy efficiency standard not yet seen before in Northern Virginia. Evergreene Homes teamed with design consultants, engineers and architects to create a formula for these new Eco-Luxury homes that will result in some of the most energy efficient homes in the region.
Evergreene’s Eco-Luxury homes will make their first debut in a new Fairfax, VA neighborhood, Woodson Reserve. Situated in a highly desired location, Woodson Reserve is surrounded by acres of Fairfax County parkland and is in close proximity to two Metro Stations at Vienna and Dunn Loring – Merrifield, the popular Mosaic District and the fifth best high school in Virginia, Woodson High School.
“We believe that homes should be built with a purpose that far exceed the obvious notion of luxury living,” said Cappellini. “That’s why we’re so excited to be opening our 1st Eco-Luxury living community, Woodson Reserve. All of the homes offered at Woodson Reserve are designed with luxury details from top to bottom, and they are designed to set a new standard in energy efficiency at this highly sought after Fairfax location.”
Energy efficiency has always been a priority to the builder and comes standard with each home that is delivered. Now, with a HERS Index Score over 10 points better than the closest competitor, Evergreene Homes is raising the bar with scores in the 40’s for the new Eco-Luxury designs.
“We’ve never been satisfied with performing at an energy efficient average,” said Rob Cappellini, President of Evergreene Homes. “We’re always looking for ways to deliver homes that consume significantly less energy than the current Building Codes allow, ultimately making life more comfortable for our homeowners while also enabling them to enjoy lower monthly utility costs.”
The Home Energy Score, (HERS), is a national rating system developed by the U.S. Department of Energy. The Score reflects the energy efficiency of a home based on the efficiency of a home’s overall design and important details related to air sealing, insulation, heating, cooling, and hot water systems.
Evergreene Home’s is also proud to share that their average HERS score has consistently beat even the Town of Vienna’s Community Enhancement Commissions goal for HERS by 15 points as recognized on January 8th by the Town of Vienna in an award ceremony honoring the builder and 34 of its new homeowners.
